Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Company Name: Intelligent Assistance Ltd

Financial Year Covered: 2026

Last Updated: January 1, 2026

1. Policy Statement

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labor, and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person's liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Intelligent Assistance Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and we are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

2. Our Business and Supply Chains

Intelligent Assistance Ltd specializes in high-level Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy consultancy and bespoke AI system development.

Because we operate in the technology and professional services sector, our supply chains are relatively short and primarily consist of:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers: Major global technology platforms hosting our AI models and internal databases (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

  • AI Tool and API Vendors: Specialized software developers and AI research organizations (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).

  • Professional Services: Independent contractors, software engineers, data scientists, and legal/financial advisors.

  • Office Infrastructure: Utilities, telecommunications, and office equipment suppliers.

Given the highly skilled and specialized nature of our core workforce, we assess the risk of modern slavery within our direct business operations to be low. However, we remain vigilant regarding third-party vendors and contractors.

3. Due Diligence Processes for Our Supply Chains

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we take the following steps when onboarding suppliers, contractors, and partners:

  • Supplier Assessment: We evaluate the modern slavery and human trafficking policies of all major technology and infrastructure providers we partner with.

  • Contractual Protections: Where applicable, we include specific anti-slavery clauses in our contracts with contractors and third-party developers, requiring them to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

  • Responsible Procurement: We prioritize vendors who demonstrate a public commitment to ethical labor practices and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) standards.

4. Specific Risk Assessment: Data Labeling & Crowd-Sourced Labor

As an AI build company, we recognize that the broader AI industry occasionally relies on data annotation, data labeling, and content moderation services which can involve low-wage, crowd-sourced global labor pools.

To mitigate the specific risk of labor exploitation in our AI development lifecycle, Intelligent Assistance Ltd commits to:

  • Reviewing the labor practices of any third-party data annotation platforms we utilize.

  • Ensuring that any outsourced data-labeling workforce is paid a fair, living wage relative to their local jurisdiction.

  • Prioritizing automated, synthetic, or internally verified data generation methods to minimize reliance on high-risk, unverified global gig-labor platforms.

5. Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:

  • Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all employees, contractors, and business partners to report any concerns related to the direct activities, or the supply chains of, Intelligent Assistance Ltd. This includes any circumstances that may give rise to an enhanced risk of slavery or human trafficking.

  • Code of Conduct: Our code makes it clear to employees the actions and behavior expected of them when representing our company. We strive to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behavior.

6. Training and Awareness

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide basic awareness information to our staff, particularly those involved in procurement, HR, and vendor management.

Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery must be communicated to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners at the outset of our business relationship with them and reinforced as appropriate thereafter.

7. Breaches of This Policy

  • Any employee who breaches this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.

  • We may terminate our relationship with other individuals and organizations working on our behalf if they breach this policy.

8. Approval

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of Intelligent Assistance Ltd and will be reviewed and updated annually.
